Duane Yoshito Walden
Certified Senior Instructor in the art of Jeet Kune Do/Kali through Progressive Fighting Systems.
Duane has been teaching self-defense worldwide for over 35 years. He has taught numerous military, and law enforcement personnel working with Police, Sheriffs and Highway Patrol as well as assorted agencies like Homeland Security and the DOJ. While serving on board the USS Stump, Duane taught the VBSS (Visit, Board, Search and Seize) Teams while deployed to the Persian Gulf.
From his early days in the 1980s learning a little-known style of Kung Fu called “Hand of Many Ways” and throughout his lifetime, Duane has pursued a quest for knowledge in the martial arts. Along the way he has practiced a multitude of diverse arts such as Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, Combat Sambo, Wrestling, Yoga, Karate as well as Jeet Kune Do, Kali and the Silat arts.
Some of his Instructors and influences have included notable martial artists such as Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak, Prof. Fabio Santos, Pedro Carvalho, the late Chris Anderson and Todd Nathanson.
In addition to a Senior Instructorship from Progressive Fighting Systems in Jeet Kune Do/Kali, he also has a Black Belt in Hand of Many Ways and a Brown Belt in Combat Sambo.
