THE JEET KUNE DO LEGACY
For those interested in more of a traditional approach to martial arts instruction we hold classes during the week that are focused on the historical aspects of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do Concepts and the Filipino Martial Arts. We feel that it’s important to maintain the art of the late Bruce Lee and his Protégé, Dan Inosanto alive in its entirety. Jeet Kune Do/Kali fosters personal development and spiritual growth using combat training. Instead of the compressed modular approach, we pursue a more in-depth study of Bruce Lee’s training methods, The Filipino Martial Arts and MMA Basics. Our Lineage and influences
Bruce Lee: Bruce Lee is the founder and developer of the art of Jeet Kune Do which was his approach to combat, philosophy and spiritual growth.
Dan Inosanto: Dan Inosanto was Bruce Lee's best friend, and training partner and played an integral part in helping Bruce Lee develop his art and training methods. Dan was responsible for integrating The Filipino Martial Arts (Kali) and a multitude of Southeast Asian martial arts like Penjak Silat and Muay Thai Boxing into the Jeet Kune Do matrix of arts.
Paul Vunak: Paul Vunak was a protégé of Dan Inosanto who was one of the first Jeet Kune Do instructors to bring Jeet Kune Do and Kali to the military. His world renown Rapid Assault Tactics (RAT) system has been taught all over the world to military units, Govt. agencies and law enforcement Depts.
Duane Walden: Duane has been teaching martial arts since 1985. He has taught martial arts to military, law enforcement and civilians across the country and overseas while serving in the US Navy. Duane has been a Senior Instructor in Jeet Kune Do and The Filipino Martial Arts under Paul Vunak since 2011.
